BBC political editor for the North West, David Woodthorpe, has resigned, reports How-Do.
The former Anglia Television journalist joined the BBC in 2006, appearing on North West Tonight and the Politics Show, as well as advising the BBC’s regional radio stations on political stories.
Woodthorpe is reported to be leaving media all together to take up a role in the health industry.
