The new controller of BBC2, Janice Hadlow, looks set to introduce more “intelligent” programmes and entertaining factual output to refresh the channel’s schedule.
Speaking to BBC staff magazine Ariel shortly before her move from BBC Four was announced, Hadlow said: “I want to see intelligence in popular programming. It’s good to see it cropping up in all sorts of different places - not just in those programmes where you might expect it.”
