New York Times to launch global edition of website

The New York Times is to launch a global edition of its NYTimes.com website next spring, bringing together content from the US daily and its sister title the International Herald Tribune.

According to PaidContent, initial reports that IHT.com would close entirely are unfounded. IHT stories already appear on the NYTimes.com website via http://iht.nytimes.com.
