The global financial crisis has provided a traffic boost to financial news and information sites, according to Hitwise figures reported by Marketing.
According to the Hitwise data, traffic to Yahoo Finance UK is up 48 per cent year on year. Web searches for Robert Peston rose 37 per cent in the same period.
