City banks are getting involved in the Channel 4 funding crisis with The Daily Telegraph reporting that NM Rothschild has been carrying out work for Channel 4’s management to “assess potential funding solutions”,
The Telegraph also reports that the Government arm that controls Channel 4, the shareholder executive, is nearing the appointment of a bank to evaluate the future funding of the broadcaster.
Goldman Sachs has reportedly been working with the BBC to advise on the future of commercial arm BBC Worldwide, with one possible outcome announced this week as a tie-up with Channel 4.
