The Home Office has revealed that 42 out of 43 of the police forces in England and Wales are now publishing online maps detailing crimes committed in their areas.
The new maps are likely to be a rich source of stories for journalists.
The BBC reports that Wiltshire is the only force yet to get their crime map online due to technical difficulties.
Here is the Home Office press release from when the plans were first announced back in July.
