Royal Mail increases magazine postage costs by 4.3%

The cost of sending magazines to subscribers will increase by about 4.3 per cent on average from the beginning of the new tax year on 6 April.

According to the Periodical Publishers Association, Royal Mail is raising the cost of sending “large letters” by between 4.2 and 4.6 per cent - depending on the class used.

The cost of sending a thicker magazine using the “packet” rate will rise between 3.8 per cent and 4.6 per cent.
