New Statesman editor to write Standard sport column

New Statesman editor Jason Cowley is to begin writing a weekly sports column for the relaunched London Evening Standard from this Friday.
Cowley, a former editor of Observer Sport Monthly, replaces former Tory cabinet minister David Mellor who has been dropped from the paper after 11 years, according to MediaGuardian.co.uk.
