Bauer looks to move Midlands radio news to Manchester

Bauer Radio is closing its Birmingham newsroom and producing news bulletins on West Midlands station Kerrang! from Manchester instead. According to the Birmingham Post, four jobs are at risk of redundancy.
In statement littered with management speak, Bauer said: “Our strategy is to locally invest in the best programming and creative talent to inform and entertain our listeners.
“The resource needed to do that is flexed up and down in order to best serve the audience and advertisers.
“We are now proposing to reshape our Kerrang! teams to support the business going forward.”
