Tickets for a debate between Guardian Bad Science columnist Dr Ben Goldacre and science minister Lord Drayson sold out in just 90 minutes, according to the Royal Institution which is hosting the event.
Lord Drayson praised the high quality of UK science journalist at the World Conference of Science Journalists earlier this year but Goldacre has been an outspoke critic of the way he says journalists distort science in pursuit of headlines.
The event is being held at the Royal Institution in London tomorrow night (Wednesday) from 7pm and 400 tickets were made available. It will be streamed live on the Times Higher Education website.
