You must have a track record of breaking exclusive stories on a national or regional newspaper or in the trade press. A well-developed ability to develop sources and find the stories that do not appear in press releases is an absolute prerequisite for this role.

Investors Chronicle, the investment magazine and website, is looking for an experienced, numerate financial journalist to join its team of writers. A large part of the job involves analysing the performance and prospects of quoted companies, but you will also be required to contribute tips, news articles, and features to the magazine and website. The ability to analyse financial statements and come to well-argued conclusions is essential, and previous experience of equity market reporting would be a clear advantage.
