PA’s chief sports reporter carries Olympic torch in Canada

The Press Association’s chief sports reporter Martyn Ziegler yesterday carried the Olympic torch on a leg of its journey to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver - the only British journalist to do so.
The International Olympic Committee invited Ziegler to carry the torch in recognition of his long experience of reporting on the Olympic movement.
Ziegler carried the touch from the Vancouver suburb of Surrey to Richmond on its journey to open the games on Friday.
